Do you think the statement "that's interesting" is a polite way of people just tuning you out?
My buddy and I caught ourselves doing this about ten years ago up in Whistler. It's a really bad habit of mine. When I say it, I'm clearly not paying attention. It's used to buy myself more time to catch up on the conversation.
