This year Thing One and Thing Two (along with their parental units) have requested family and friends help us donate to familes in need rather than give us gifts. We are doing this through The Heifer Project.
Our page is also available now through Christmas at the top of my links.
If a charitable gift has not been part of your holiday celebration I hope you will consider joining us. If you do this kind of thing regularly but have not already donated your allotted amount to another organization I invite you too.
Thing One is hoping to raise enough to donate a water buffalo,
Thing Two wants to donate a llama and a hive of bees.
(Links to songs included especially for Dan who has a weird nipple)
Donations of $10 are options under sheep and seedlings but of course there is no pressure.
Anyway,
Hope everyone has a very nearly painless Monday.

LOL, as soon as i read about the water buffalo and even without clicking the link you KNOW i sang that song.
wonderful idea logo, i hope there is a village somewherwe abounding with water buffalo, llamas, and honeybees because of your family.
I like the llamas myself! I need to get a pic of that llama farm a few miles from here .
HA HA! You're hoping I have a weird nipple! ;)
Great idea folks!
Great idea. We always adopt a family through the school. It's so much fun to make another person that much happier during the holidays.
Monday was indeed painless. Let's hope Tuesday is the same.
just another reason i love you, Logo (what? just cuz i don't "call" doesn't mean i don't care). Heifer International is a charity near and dear to our hearts! last year, in fact, we gave our sons a cow instead of that cool video system they thought they needed. we intend to do the same again this year (maybe throw in a few ducklings, for good luck). we'll be happy to help out with that llama and those bees, but i can't promise there'll be enough for the buffalo, too. and i definitely draw the line at Dan's weird nipple.
beautiful sentiment and fabulous cause. well done!! xoxox
I love the Heifer Project. :) One of the Aunties donated last year in lieu of getting stuff for the kids. She let them pick what they wanted to donate and then did so in their names. :)
Yay! That is so cool!
My greatest anti-Christmas accomplishment this year was talking Rita into getting a live Christmas tree, thats just 18" tall and sits on the table. Then, we decorated it with NOT ornaments, but little toys we have hanging around! I didnt evne have to go to my storage locker and dig for the XMAS BOX.
YAY!
Of course, running away to India for a month can also be categorized as ANTI-Christmas!
Last year, our pals in Mt Vernon bought us a starving child in Mexico! We were thrilled!
