Fun times in Seattle

 Sooo, this last Friday Thing Two and I went and had fun in Seattle. We went by the library where I work, because it is a gorgeous building and a good place to bring first-time visitors to the town and we just happened to have one of those with us.

 My friend Lime warned me that her first-born would be coming this way and I immediately signed on to play tour guide. Diana was charming, good company, and had a long list of local sights she was hoping to visit. We managed to get to quite a few of them, plus some extras I think are important. The visit to the Fremont troll also means a visit to Lenin and Just Desserts— of course.

 The Seattle Center has changed a little since I last brought Thing Two there.
Tragically, the beignet vendor was GONE! Ooooh, the humanity.
Anyway, Thing Two was talked into doing silly poses for me.

 While Diana went and toured the Space Needle, Thing Two and I went and looked at purty glass art.
 For the next photo;
insert a maniacal laugh and some crackly electrical noises

  There were lots of glass things...
 in a variety of configurations.
 We are having some gorgeous sunny days around here so we enjoyed the gardens quite a bit.

 The glass place is pretty close to the needle so I felt it necessary to try and get everything in one shot.
 We also went to the EMP where there was an exhibit about the costumes of Star Wars.
This shows the progression of Senator Palpatine to the evil emperor.
 There were lots of super geeky facts and behind the scenes things that were AWESOME.

This is but a small sampling of the 50ish pics I took.
:p
Thing Two and I really enjoyed ourselves, as did Diana who decided she needed to schedule a Star Wars movie marathon soon. Other things were seen and other things were done but that is all I have time to discuss today. The stern master of homework is demanding my attention again.
May the Schwartz be with you.
