Fun times

Images from an outing in Fremont. Here are Things developing an understanding of art and geo-politics.

Another friend
told me about a great pitstop in the neighborhood, Simply Desserts.
The Things and I enjoyed the treats and the espresso a great deal. Good tip!!
And here you see the things with the famous Fremont Troll.

Art can be fun!

Egan~ We did enjoy! And I would make more friends except it is so time intensiive and cuts into my blogging.

Grunt~ The troll is awesome, the Things were loving it. It it right under a roadway, as you can tell, so not only is there a big ugly troll there is alot of noise and they could yell and run around. After having had to behave like human young for a few minutes in a couple shops this was a great relief to them.

Lime~ OK, so when you coming? I will put fresh sheets on the guest bed for you and EVERYTHING!

Barefoot~ Well, Thing One saw the pic of the troll the other day and didn't remember ever seeing it, that partially inspired the trip. Can't be having the kids not recall stuff like that, it is just wrong.

The "Troll", "The bus stop People", "Lenin" and other Fremont oddities are my favorite parts of living in Seattle - even better that they are practically in my backyard. It's always the first place that visitors want to go - and then there is the Solstice Parade ... I love Fremont! :)

Ahhh yes the bus stop people..we need a picture of them all dressed up...maybe on my next ride in!

Putting the things in the picture gives you an idea of how big the troll is!

Snav~ What? You don't give your kids espresso?? WTH? You must not be from around these parts.
Every NW child can be bribed with a good coffee.

Seamus~ Good stuff, ya know, I haven't ever watched the solstice parade in person. Have to do that.

Idiot~ Yes, we are just here to provide perspective for you.

That's a classic expression on your Thing's face! He is *definitely* going into politics. ;)
