When the sun shines in the great Northwet

It is always best to immediately take advantage of it, not only because it may not be there tomorrow, but because it may not be there in a few minutes when you have finished what you wanted to get done and finally located your sunglasses.

One of the best things about a high energy breed (those Porties are action-packed!) is that Ariella runs those boys into the ground. No matter how much running they can do, she can do more, and do it faster.
Like a Terminator, but without all the bloodshed, memory chips and plans for global domination of mankind...that we know of.
They play an interesting variation of tag, and she seems to understand the rules about as well as they do. When it is her turn to be IT she chases them, when it is their turn, she runs away. She doesn't spend long being IT, four legs are faster than two.

But the best part is the collapse at the end.
Do you remember being joyfully tired?
Not worked out tired, not worn out tired, but played out tired.

It is the best kind of tired, I think.

Running yourself ragged is SO much more fun when it ends with sinking into soft grass and completely resting. Great photos. :)

Good job helping out the AF, Ariella.

Egan~ Good morning! Thanks, it was an absolutely perfect day, I do so love the NW.

Doug~ Awww, poor thing, well, go chase the dogs around when you get home, you'll sleep better.

Candace~ Thanks! Feel free to come back and comment on it as many times as you like. Suggestion for future commments: the kind of reddish bush that is in the background, why there appears to be a picnic table in the middle of nowhere, are you aware your dog looks oppy in all those running pictures, and what kind of fertilizer do you use on your lawn, but those are just to get you started.

Lime~ I was out there with the cam to take pics for the landscaping stuff we want to work on, but when they started playing I couldn't pass that up.

Barefoot~ It certainly makes the grass grow! Technically they were suppose to be doing some stuff, helping with yard work but they lucked out and mom was in charge and I figured this was important too. The weeds can wait a little while, right?

Chosha~ infinitely better than sinking into the car seat for another round of errands, that's for SURE!

Weirsdo~ Isn't she helpful? Great to have around and good for cuddling too, an all-purpose kind of pet.

Reminds me of those days as a kid chasing my two dogs around on the lawn. Except, in Phoenix, the lawn never looked that green. Beautiful backyard, Logo.

Grunt~ You mean you could actually breathe in that moonscape? Wow!
I have only ever been through Arizona and it was definitely gorgeous, but I like my NW weather.

Idiot~ I can't beklieve you would say something like that to me, I am shocked, dismayed, hurt...
sob sob, have you NO HEART?!?!

Breazy~ You have a good one too sweetie, and don't let those kids get you down, you are a good mom!

I'm with Callie on this one .. it's snowing here too!

Must be nice letting the dog run around as much as she wants. The downside of having Beagles is they're scent hounds and they follow their nose everywhere. They can never be off-leash and we don't have a fenced-in backyard. I wish I could let them run around outside as much as they wanted to .. then I wouldn't have to worry about the house being their own personal Formula 1 circuit!

That is brilliant. When I have kids I will hire a dog as a Nanny! How does Wendy sound for a girl´s name? Then the dog can run along with the kids while I enjoy another episode of The Drew Carrey Show!

Julia~ We have to be with her for it to work, otherwise she is over at the neighbors' houses, but it does help burn off the energy. The indoor race track still happens though, but only with one, not three, I can't imagine!

Minka~ Get a herding dog, they are great at looking after kids. Wendy sounds good, or Nana.

Aahh... that's the best! And the grass is usually cool!

Damasta~ I got a new mower a couple weeks ago and it picks up all the clippings so laying in the grass is soft and cool and you don't get up covered it bits. It is awesome!
