Summer days are here again

Yesterday was the solstice, did it SEEM like a long day to you?
We didn't have sunset till 9:11 here.
It's officially summer now, regardless of the clouds and rain, just you remember that.
We had our traditional bonfire, complete with smores and such, and stayed up much later than seems reasonable or prudent.
I love sitting around the fire after the dying light of the longest day has finally ended, staring into dancing flames.

we spent the day cleaning vehicles and doing things around the house, wish we had had a bonfire and celebrated like you all.

Hope your weekend has been great!

I was partying my arse off at a wedding so I do believe I was awake at that time...barely...erm at least still vertical at that point.

Is that lovely firepit in your own backyard? I adore camping... we do it in our back yard when we need a fix on hot summer nights and can't manage to get away. Except for fighting off the dog and the cat, we have a lovely time.
