A card for those who settled

And just for a little balance for the hopeless romantics I offer this ancient video clip. It predates me by a couple years but I heard someone talking about this song specifically and this group in general so I looked it up. Try to avoid eye contact with... the glaringly obvious errors in judgement, and just enjoy it.

And then, just for balance...

Thanks for the Bee Gees clip. I love their early stuff and listen to their album "Odessa" religiously. I know of some Guinea Pig enthusiasts that fucking hate me right now, so the other clip was especially fun for me.

No Guinea Pigs were harmed or introduced to Richard Gere. I am not a sick man, just happened to have a video camera around when a pet rabbit and pet Guinea Pig of my nephew's were excited about each other's presence. I had no idea, really.

Well, that was cheering! Thanks, Logo!

The BeeGees can do no wrong, although Robin looks like a refugee from a tupperware party. As for Puddle, hasn't the world had enough of silly love songs? Guess they don't think so!

Grunty~ I find this one sounds better if I am not looking at them. The other song, well, its just such an upbeat number, how can it not brighten your day? Oh, and "likely excuse, perv."

Cuddly Curmedgeon~ Anytime, and yesterday I pointed folks in the direction of Ogre Day. Im really hoping it will catch on widely.

Joe~ I'm trying to forgive them for those clothes, ok, wow. And as for Puddle, well, they just want to add to the sum total of joy in the world, errr, something like that.

Malnurished Snay~ Awwww, well, I'm going to be nice to you since you are new and not imply that it is all your own fault, aren't I gracious? Welcome!

Lime~ Glad you enjoyed! Welcome to monday.

Mireille~ He always manages to do something completely thoughtful and sweet. I married a romantic, and he, poor man, well, he married me.

Susie~ You meanie, after all we've meant to each other (sob sob) how could you! (throws self dramatically back in chair and sighs)

I actually invented my own holiday in response to Valentine's Day. It's on Feb. 26. My wife and I have been celebrating it for 14 years now, but I think it may be time to go public with it. I will probably be doing a post on it shortly. :)

I like both of those songs. I forgot how tight guys used to wear there pants. How did the little boys breath in there?

Gosh you are so romantic! :)

The Bee Gees were around in 1967?? How could a group make such awful music in the 60s??

Wow! They're legendary!

Diesel~ As long as it involves confetti, I'm on board. There are just too few holidays that require confetti.

Goldennib~ It looks a little painful, doesn't it? Poor man has no secrets.

Dan~ I know! Something for us all to aspire to.

Neva~ I'm so glad you enjoy it! I rather like it too, and I am looking forward to Ogre Day.

Actonbell~ If my very sweet and romantic husband can refrain, Red Molly is suppose to suffice as my birthday gift. She is a GREAT present.

Claire~ I know, poor man, he has to endure my musical tastes, my sarcasm, and my last minute gas station cards and gifts. He has great patience.

Mr. Fab~ You complete me.

Saturday Night fever was terminal I think...

I like the "you'll Do" card - it reminds me of the "Lowered Expectations" Skit on Mad TV.

Awesome. The pre-disco Bee Gees. You can't guy videos like that. Well, you probably can, but not for my money.

I don't even know what I'm trying to say.

phosgene kid~ It's best to be realistic about these things.

Cindra~ When you can you should at least watch the second one. Its worth it.

Snavy~ awwwww

Dorky Dad~ Got it, don't spend your money on the Beegees, was that it?

Not a word against the BeeGees or that song! I just couldn't help but giggle as he sang "cause I'm a man, can't you see what I am". Well d'uh in those striped pants, it's kind of hard, er difficult not to.

As for She Hates Me, well dude I kind of see why. Sorry and all but thanks for sharing.
