Surrounded, I watched for my opportunity to escape.
I quietly slid the door open and slipped out into the last moments of dying light.
No people, no demands, only orange blue gold haze almost too gorgeous to be real.
I breathed the cooling air and felt the fading warm rays of the sun.
Serenity now.

Sar~ Those pictures were taken off the balcony of my apartment in Naples, Italy. I don't know if it was the pollution or what but the sunsets there were positively spectacular.

Damasta~ Then my work here is done. Hope your weekend was Faaaaaboolous.
If it was pollution, isn't that weird that it could produce such a stunning view?
Sunrise, sunsets. I love 'em.
Fred~ I don't know exactly what caused it, I am a huge fan of sunsets in general, and the ones in Naples were very often just breathtaking. Our balcony was a wrap-around kind of affair and the view outside our kitchen was right over the Med to the west. Sigh
Just fabulous. I am rarely in a good frame of mind to enjoy sunrises, but I appreciate them in concept.
beautiful sunset!
Thanks Kristina!
