On two separate occasions

in the last week I have been called a liberal.

I dig it the most.

excellent quote you have there. me? i like that i can piss off both the conservatives and the liberals. i refuse to classify myself as either and when i can't piss them both off i will know i've lost part of my soul.

Is that bad?

That's pretty much the norm around these parts.

In fact, I'm planning to divorce Mr. Snavy and marry Lily because it's legal here.

Yay all my friends are liberals! When are you coming to California?

We can all buy some property and Snavs and Lily can be Mom and Momma to their girls! And, Lime can set up a zipline, and Logo and I can ride around on her Harley making trouble!

PS Was it Mr Logo that called you that? LOL

Schnoodlepooh~ The left calls me right and the right calls me left, I figure that means I have it just about right.

Lime~ Exactly!

Snav~ It was not offered as a compliment either time. You and lily better invite me to the wedding, mkay!

Bare~ Commune! I like the concept, no zipline for Limey unless she wears a harness and helmet. And yes, Mr.Logo was one of them.

Pigsflyatnight~ Methinks the blogger from Bellingham, by denigrating liberals, has revealed himself to be a conservative. Never you mind, my dear, I know and like a great many conservatives and find some of them quite capable of independent thought. I was not pissed, I was amused.

And all this time I thought you were a conservative.

Goldennib~ I am a proud independent, thank you very much, but you got the naughty part right
:p

Egan~ I am a centrist... mostly

Pigsflyatnight~ I've heard that about assumptions, and you just mind your own business about my fingers, how many I have and where I have them.

I've never been called a liberal to my face.

I'm pretty certain that anyone who wants to be a politician should be shot. I think for the most part, I fall into the Libertarian camp, but it's useless to vote that way. Basically, my vote counts for nothing, but I do it anyway out of blind optimism. Or maybe it's fatalism.

How does one seperate centrist from simply argumentative or more shockingly, slightly cynical??? Never mind, am having alliteration issues today...

I dunno about being called a ''liberal'', but I've been called a ''feminist'' before.. and I have no idea why.. I said, ''what?! that's sexist!''

:P

Candace~ I know that feeling, I choose to believe I am an idealist, rather than a fatalist, but sometimes, knowing my vote may as well go straight to the trash gets a little discouraging. I just keep hoping everyone will stop voting for the lesser of two evils and maybe we can get leadership for whom we WANT to vote.

Miss Met2morf~ Are you suggesting I have a bad attitude and am difficult?? You may be right.

Damasta~ I've been called that too. If thinking women should be treated with respect and afforded the same rights, privileges, and responsibilities as men, well, I guess I am guilty.
