We went to:
There was a fabulous exhibition with video games. From atari to X Box 360, many of the most memorable games were available and the kids were digging it. Well, the one lil girl was not AS thrilled as her brothers so she wanted to go see
the butterfly house, which make me think of a friend of mine. Beautiful lil insects aren't they?
The we took a bus to
PIKE PLACE! I do so love Pike, although I prefer it sans thronging tourists. We had mini-donuts, the little kids got balloon hats, swords and various other creations. It was so hot we took the bus back to the Seattle Center.
Oh, no, I mean it was rainy, the weather was horrible, it always rains in Washington, you would hate it here.
But we played in the fountain anyway, the sprays are programmed to coordinate with the music they are playing.
The kids had a great time, and it was hysterical to watch the people, some cautiously creeping forward in street clothes and getting sprayed any way. Between song, when the spray dies down, it is tradition to go put your hand on the fountain. This is prime time for getting people wet who really didn't come prepared. The fun part is guessing which ones are going to take a look at themselves, think, well, I am wet anyway, I might as well enjoy myself, and which ones will walk stiffly up to sit on the ledge and dry out.
Which are you?
