My mother's other daughter

"Sisters don't need words. They have perfected a language of snarls and smiles and frowns and winks... expressions of shocked surprise and incredulity and disbelief. Sniffs and snorts and gasps and sighs... that can undermine any tale you're telling."
Pam Brown
This is the Esteemed Elder Sister and her wee ones.
They are moving next week to the other side of the state. It will be a 6 hour drive.
She is almost completely crazy,
and I of course identify with, and greatly enjoy that.
I'm going to miss her.

moving so far away does indeed stink. i hope it goes smoothly though and i hope you see each other more often than you think you will.

I don't have a real sister, but my BFF is the closest thing after almost 15 years of friendship. I don't know what I would do if she moved away.

Thank God for phones & computers, eh? Like Lime, I hope that you get to see each other more often than you think.

It's too bad she is moving away. I just met her and already I like her better :)

Oh Logo. I think that sucks. I hope you get to see her often. Hop on your bike and go for a ride and see her.
She has a very likeable face. Then again so do you! You must both have that great sense of humour I love.

I think these photos really capture her.

Sibs have a quasi-linguistic shorthand that is beyond the ken of mere parents, relatives or friends. Only the family dog gets it.

Yeah, it's tough when family moves away like that after having been so close before. That happened with my oldest sister and I miss being able to watch her kids and drop by when I wanted to.
