Commitment

A future bright
A home established
Expectations high
And promises made
Then we burned our boats on the shore

The cold reality
The often clouded sky
Rarely stars to guide
Little light ever shed
And our burnt out boats on the shore

The only warmth from sharing
The best protection~ each other's arms
Despite doubts
Our hearts knit together
And we burned our boats long ago

logophile..the name fits...but I hate having to think that hard.

Lovely poem

Although I tend to gravitate toward stories about sons who stay in their rooms entirely too much only to turn into a huge bug
