Il Carnevale di Venezia

It is that time of year again!
In Venice they are celebrating Carnival.
Finding a good hotel can be tough.

The water taxis are crowded.
But at St Mark's, the crowd is unbelievable!
At least they are interesting to watch. This is what St Mark's winged lion does in his off-time.
Here is the AM hanging out on a crowded bridge.
And the AF with the apostles.
Here are the authentic carnevale masks purchased for a mere arm and leg in Venice and worn there.
Ahh, la dolce vita!
Buon Carnivale, ya'll!

Wow, beautiful pictures! Maybe we'll win the lottery, quit our jobs and travel the world. Italy is definitely one of the places we'd love to see.

Buon Carnivale!

I love Venice, my absolutely dream city- oh and i have never been there :)
But since I was little it was teh city I was gonna go to when I am rich enough to enjoy all of it. Many cities I have seen since then...it is a matter of time. You can see Romeo and Juliet´s balcony in Venice and even stand on it! For those of you that are hopelessly romantic!

Thanks for the memories. It was not Carnivale, but Dr. Weirsdo and I were a block away from St. Marks on our honeymoon.
