Theme~ What I did on my summer vacation.

Well, not the whole thing but just this last weekend. I would sit here and type out several paragraphs but as it turns out Mr. Logo hit one of the best highlights in his newest post.
You can just read it there.
He is such a big, strong, handsome, secure man.

Randomness

Breazy is running off to the beach for a week but before she left she ran through here and tagged me. Just as she said, I was kinda needing some blog fodder so I mind not in the least.
Thanks, Breazy!
There are rules one is to follow and such

First, here are the rules:
1. We have to post these rules before we give you the facts.
2. Players start with eight random facts/habits about themselves.
3. People who are tagged need to write their own blog about their eight things and post these rules.
4. At the end of your blog, you need to choose eight people to get tagged and list their names.
5. Don’t forget to leave them a comment telling them they’re tagged, and to read your blog.

And now, eight random things about me:

1. I think that first moment of insertion and contact when one is cleaning one's ears with a cotton swab feels exquisitely good. But after a few seconds...the thrill is gone.

2. I love manual transmissions, usually. One of the things I love about riding my motorcycle is shifting. When everything is working together just perfectly, if I want a smooth, easy transition between gears or whether I am twisting it and am looking for a seamless acceleration right to my top gears I love it when it feels like the machine and I have our act together. However, I hate dealing with a manual if I can't do it right, or the traffic is heavy enough that the clutch starts to screw with my knee (my left knee is the one with the
really impressive scar). There is just nothing worse than driving an unfamiliar car, or one with a strange clutch point (you know, where the transmission starts to grab) and you just keep overrevving the engine or chugging off starts. This is one reason I don't like driving Mr. Logo's little Ford Escort. I've sat in the driveway and rocked it a little before going anywhere but without fail at some point during the drive I nearly kill the stupid thing at a stop because it just doesn't start to grab where I think it should and I CANNOT be one of those drivers. Last time I drove the Escort it was to Seattle which has a few somewhat impressive hills with inconveniently placed stoplights. I managed not to embarrass myself thoroughly so I considered the driving a success.

3. I do not prefer temperatures above 90 degrees F, thank you very much. If I can just lie quietly and read in the shade with a nice breeze I can handle it but if I am forced to, oh, say attended a sign language class in an sweltering classroom so that I parboil in my own sweat, that tends to make me ever so slightly CRANKY!!

4. According to most Myers-Briggs Personality tests available online I'm either
ENTP or INTP. Occasionally I will get an S thrown in there but the TP seems to be consistent.
That means, um, introverted or extroverted, iNtuitive or Sensing, Thinking vs. Feeling and
Perceiving vs. Judging,
according to those in the know.

5. I think I need to get
this shirt for the Things.

6. And now, courtesy of my friend Susie, who I roped into helping me this morning I have...
logo: tell me things about me, Ive only got two so far
barefoot_india: um you spend too much time online
logo: well, duh!
logo: I have a blog
barefoot_india: you are too smart for your britches
logo: yah, like Im going to post that
barefoot_india: :p
logo: item number 6. I am sooooo smart
logo: no, really
logo: I am
barefoot_india: i am too smart for my britches
barefoot_india: says susie
logo: you have biased sources though. I told you I was smart and you believed me

7. I spend too much time online.

8.
barefoot_india: omg, we are so warped
Logo: hey, its YOUR 55!
barefoot_india: yeah but
barefoot_india: you write about quarks
barefoot_india: and thats not normal
Logo: lol :p
barefoot_india: ok thats one thing for your blog post

Thanks for the help Susie!! By the way Susie has crafted a unique, creative and incredibly well written 55 word Flash Fiction, you should check it out.

I am taking a class

in ASL (American Sign Language) with about a dozen other people.
I have managed thus far to be nothing less than charming.
But I kid you not, stupid people drive me crazy.
I have to work really hard not to wish ill upon them.
I try to be nice, after all, its probably not their fault they have the IQ of a rutabaga. I just don't understand why they can't be stupid QUIETLY! Is that too much to ask??

Good things come to those...

who say, forget waiting, get your ass up here NOW and visit me again!! Especially if they have a sweet and accomodating friend like I do :D

So my Susie Quoo is coming back to Seattle to see me again! Yay!!
Last time she was here I could only get her to the base of the Space Needle. This time she tells me she is going to be brave and make it to the top. Also on the hit list; the Seattle Library to take some photos in the red hallway, the new and improved Seattle Aquarium, the SAM and the Woodland Park Zoo. Well, she might not be able to squeeze all that in, but she is going to try.
Anyway, enough about how cool it is for her to use all her very hard earned money, that she has slaved away to earn, hours and hours over her sewing machine only to spend it all on a wild weekend with yours truly.
Instead we will now discuss how much I love her. True, I only drive an hour to meet her after she has endured San Fransisco traffic, airport security nightmares, crowded planes and public transportation to get here but that does NOT mean I don't sacrifice too!
I make the ultimate sacrifice a woman can make everytime she comes up here.
Because, frankly, she appears to have the hots for my sleeping companion.
Every single time, ok, she grabs him and molests him. Phil is MINE but this is how much I love Susie, I let her touch my body pillow.
And BOY, does she take advantage of that!

I'll tell you what I want, what I really, really want...

Some time to be doing more of this!
I'm getting the DTs, man!
I am in serious withdrawal.
But it's not gonna happen.
Instead Mr. Logo is dragging my happy ass to the woods for a couple days,
sigh.
Miss you guys, don't forget me, ok.
I'm the one with the blue chick who has red hair on her avatar.
I shall return!

Sorry to do two Youtube type posts so close together but this is the theme song for the moment.
I'm going and doing and very busy and important and Kurt will tell you how we are feeling at the moment.

What else should I be
All apologies
What else could I say
Everyone is gay
What else could I write
I don't have the right
What else should I be
All apologiesIn the sun
In the sun I feel as one
In the sun
In the sun
I'm married
Buried
I wish I was like you
Easily amused
Find my nest of salt
Everything is my fault
I'll take all the blame
Aqua seafoam shame
Sunburn with freezeburn
Choking on the ashes of her enemy
In the sun In the sun I feel as one
In the sun In the sun
Married, Married, Married!
Buried!
Yeah yeah yeah yeah
All in all is all we are

OK, now, Didn't Dave Grohl look YOUNG in that vid?
Here he is displaying his awesome talent and making me giggle.
This is from a couple years ago and a total hoot.

Monday, Monday, can't trust that day.

My mother in law is visiting for a week.
We are taking her to see some sights and for her very first camping trip.
She will be joining us at my family's get-together for the 4th of July.
It promises to be an interesting week.
I am being very judicious and neutral in what I am saying and how I am saying it.
Have you noticed?

OK, in other news, I was nominated as a Rockin' Girl Blogger.

Cathy nominated me while calling me incomparable, witty, and a biker. Hard to beat deal like that! Thanks, Cathy! Cathy has this button in a rainbow of colors, because that is just how rockin' she is. Some of my best gals have already been nominated but I have to let you in on a secret; the chicks over in my sidebar would not be there if I didn't think they were pretty awesome. I have some gals though whose blogs I really enjoyed and they are gone. So I'm going to do 5 posthumous awards, even though its only the blogs that died, not the gals.

I miss Cindra's fun, smart, sarcastic, sweet, irreverent appreciation for life, family and friends.

Annie of Yerdoingitwrong is MIA and I miss her too. The pictures of her precious baby boy, often posted with apologizes for posting neverending pics of her kid were just cute and I enjoyed stopping by her place.

Balou seems to also be missing. The designer of lobster panty cartoon and poster of David Hasselhoff videos, that sense of humor was a welcome addition to my blog world.

Damasta is one of the first bloggers I met, through 5th Circle of Cubicle Hell a long gone but still missed blog. I get the occasional email, and I know she is alive and well but I do miss getting some Quesadillas for Breakfast.

Last, but not by a long way least is Sar's Belle of the Brawl. She's living a real life that is jam packed full and I am very happy for my curly sis but I do miss popping over to her blog for a spirited conversation, a laugh, a contest or just to read some of the brilliant and amusing observations that came from the mind of a kindred spirit.

They rock, I miss 'em.

Oh, and do a gal a favor and leave a topic suggestion for my 55 word Flash Fiction on Friday, hm?
