A Grand Day Out!

Today I went out into the world. Here I am being driven to one of the lovely islands in the Puget Sound. It was a scenic drive.

This is my preferred view. This is the way to the AF's granpa's house, where I am always treated with great respect and kindness and offered treats.

This, on the other hand, is not a great view.
This is what I end up spending far too much time looking at. This is due to AF's insistence that her lap is NOT an acceptable place for me to sit in the car.
She has; however, purchased a harness which should bring this conversation to a close.

This is the view from the ferry.
Is this not most beautiful?

This is the wake of the ferry, note seagulls smarting off in the air, cheeky bastids.

When we arrived home, after stopping for the AF to eat dinner with the alpha male while they left ME in the car, we had a good game of tug o' war!
I looooooooove that!!
All is forgiven and she may sleep on the bed with me.
Hope you're having a happy Saturday!

And to think, Alabama calls itself "the beautiful." Obviously Alabamians don't get out much.

View of the sound, treats from grandma, squirrels to chase, I dont care, there's no way my owner is getting me into a car!
Love, Oaty

Weirdso,
I've heard some things about Alabama are simply gorgeous! For example, a friend of the family came back and was expressing her enthusiasm for the "You are now leaving Alabama, thanks for visiting, come again!" sign.

Oaty,
Most of my feline friends feel that exact same way. Just come see my blog, I will share my pictures with you, and it will almost be like being there yourself, except without the nausea and tension that car rides cause.

So Ariella, how's about lettin me in on a piece of the action here? I mean, like, can I get my own weekly column or something like Thomcat?

A dog's life is pretty exciting when you have a wonderful person taking you to such nice places!

Fred,
Yeah, she's OK, I guess.
I am still in the training process but think things are coming along nicely.

Oaty, I think it would be great to have a feline point of view on occasion! Have your people talk to my people, we'll get together and work something out.
I see big things here!!

Oh the pics of the sounds make me miss it so much. I don't miss the ferries much though. You see, I experienced the Puget sound on a 26x7' wooden longboat (replica from the 1800's). A ferry's wake almost capsized us one day during our 14 day endeavor.

Your blog is always a breath of fresh air! Looking at the pics I can almost taste the fresh air, too!

Tina,
Oh dear, those rude ferries!
Glad to see a fellow NW lover, and I am so glad you drop by!

Limey,
It was a very good day! Despite their occasional tendency to leave me in the car I do so enjoy a nice road trip.

Love the pictures. It's nice that they take you out. The humans think they are training us and don't realize they are the ones being trained.

YOu do know, your trip would have been that much more enjoyable if you would have insisted that i come along

OMG!!
I didn't know you read my blog. I um, I definitely would have invited you if I had known you might have been interested in coming along.
