55 Flash Fiction, Ariella update, and another card

First the flash fiction, its been a while since I did this so I will esplain.
The idea is to tell a story in 55 words. Susie got me started on this.
---
Frosty air clouds with each breath and grass crunches underfoot. Making my way through the yard I walk where the overhead canopy of evergreen boughs thins enough for me to see overhead. There are few stars visible tonight; the glowing full moon dominates the sky, the cratered, glorious orb captivating in every beautifully nuanced flaw.
---
Next, the Ariella update. The vet said her foot is fine. Her knee however, is a mess. Her ligament is damaged. She has been prescribed anti-inflammatories, glucosamine, and bedrest for two weeks.

Have you ever tried to keep a dog lying down for two weeks? Oh yeah, this is gonna be soooooo much fun.

Lastly, another card for you all. Only twelve more days till Valentine's!

Ashley finished making the margaritas. Roger thought how fortunate he was. His daughter Barbara was graduating next week, the Christmas bonus was in the bank, and Ashley was pouring his favorite frozen concoction into a frosted glass. None of which changed the fact that there sat uncle Felix, stone dead, on the living room couch.

At least they didn't tell you she's going to need physical therapy...

i think if yo uare expected to keep the dog horizontal for 2 weeks the vet should at least prescribe sedatives....whether yougive them to her or take them yourself is entirely up to you.

It didn't prevent me to like her a lot at first sight either searabbit.

Great 55. And remember, you can't keep a good dog down. Wishing Ariealla a speedy recovery!

Beautiful 55. Ariella looks as if she's milking the situation for all it's worth.

Snavy~ Thanks for the word of encouragement, you're such a comfort.

Breazy~ Fun, aren't they? More to come!

Lime~ I'll settle for rum :p

fuzzylogic~ Welcome, and glad you enjoyed. Thanks for the good wishes for Ariella.

Susie~ You'll get it.

Searabbit~ Thank you so very much. I wished your link worked, I would follow you to your rabbit hole.

G~ Thank you kindly, madam. Ariella wishes to pass on a generous face licking.

Weirsdo~ She is not appreciating the fact I keep telling her to lie down but she better get used to it!

Gawpo~ No passion, no drama, try again.

First of all, does FUZZYLOGIC realize that she left a 56 word comment? I am counting the "LOL" as one word since it expresses its meaning, as I am just about to coin, monopalabrically. Sholy Hit, that's a good word. I think I'll keep it. Anyway, as you will see, this makes 55 for me!

WAIT! I almost forgot: Joe, you showoff!!!! (Gawpo means JEALOUS in Nearsi [please don't ask. just figure it out])

Morgan wiped the pools of sweat from her brow with the leading edge of her index finger, cupping the liquid torrents of her exertion like a squeegee. The bulk of the splash hit her Doberman square in the chest which she licked with a salty delight. Morgan was surprised when, seeing this, she became aroused.

(HAPPY NOW?! HAPPY?! HAPPY NOW?!)

Gawpo~ Darlin' I am having a really hard time here with a decision, perhaps you can help. Are you more disturbed? Or more disturbing?
The first one doesn't count as it is not fiction, merely commentary, fascinating though it may be. Second one, well, yes, Joe IS quite the talent. Next one, your story is, oh, I think Joe said it best, angular and disturbing.

Jacob said...

We are never going to get rid of that angular and disturbing, are we? Didn't think so. (heh heh)
