I can't hold her together, Captain, she's breaking apart!

2-15-07 Exterminator to rid the place of rodents- $300 (for starters)
2-19-07 Heating contractor to clean and sanitize heat ducting- $700
2-20-07 Plumber to fix leak in water main under house-$500
2-21-07 Exterminator to estimate cost of replacing insulation- ??
3-??-07 Roofer to replace roof and skylights- $4,500
------------------------------------------------------------
If you'll excuse me I think I am going to go look at some apartment listings.
Unless there is anyone who wants 4 squatters in their basement?
We're pretty well behaved, mostly.

You can come live in my little yurt, although, it's just a 12 footer...will be alittle crowded, but if you like fabrics and wood, you will like it in there!

Ewww! I know what you mean, although, we didnt have to pay...sometimes renting rocks! We have had over a dozen dead rodents removed from our insulation in the past few years...it's so disgusting!!!!!

Perhaps we oughta discuss that business venture a bit more? LOL

What's a basement?

Blech. House repairs suck. I feel for you. We were able to rid ourselves of our own moneypit last September. It was such a relief.

Homeowners have a similar list in Florida. But the bottom line these days is

hazard insurance - priceless.

(The rental market is booming!)

Dude, I told you! Just put out the Decon and live with the bad smell for 6 weeks. That's what I do. Every time. Hey, that reminds me---I'm looking for a roommate. Know anybody?

OH man it's never ending.
Crazy, I feel for you. We are in the middle of it all too.
Sucks!

Have you named the visitors yet? I would suggest Ralph and Mighty if they're used yet.

I feel your pain Logo. These kinds of things really zap the life out of you. Chin up.

Pellet guns work nicely for rodent control too...

Ouch. That bites.

Rodents can bite my ass. Really, they can, and they then give me rabies. That is awful when you have house problems on top of pest problems. Hopefully, a noble feline will come and save the day for you.

Oh my goodness! When it rains it pours eh? Don't worry about a thing, just pack your bags and show up at my new place in about three or four weeks. You can help me throw the biggest house warming party this side of China! LOL! I hope you are having a good day!

Susie~ That business venture is sounding better and better all the time.

Snavy~ It's my breath isn't it? I didn't have a mint after that last cup of coffee, sorry.

Lime~ Now that is tempting, the commute would be tricky though, but thanks.

Damasta~ Are you trying to torment me?

Arm~ Right now, an apartment doesn't sound so bad, but really, we do like having our own place so I guess I better suck it up.

Joe~ Oh yeah, I believe it.

Gawpo~ EOW, no scent of dead thing, I don't like it!

Blue~ It really doesn't, which is a little discouraging, but I will survive, hey, hey!

Egan~ I am NOT naming them, I am refusing to acknowledge their existence, but thanks for the sympathy.

Goldennib~ Are you threatening me, missy??? No? Ooooh, my mistake, sorry.

Claire~ Mr. Logo prefers a shotgun 0_0

Blither~ Oh,you know that it's true.

Grunty~ Quit talking about your ass, dude, sheesh. I'm not enjoying the home repair issues, but hopefully there will be a long run pay off, I hope I hope.

Dan~ I promise not to pee in the insulation, or chew on the furniture, beyond that, well...

Breazy~ Dang, that sounds good to me!

Well, ours is family-of-four-tested as we lived there while we renovated. Home ownership does have its downsides. Good luck.

I edit Logo's estimates...roof will be about $6k. Yippee. All the better.

As an aside, back by popular request, check out the re-activated blog "For Crying Out Loud Dammit" with it's first post today 2-22. It's over at rustyshackle.blogspot.com
